Services
Three services. Each one scoped, priced, and timed clearly.
Every service at Gearhaus has a defined scope, a stated price in Thai Baht, and a realistic turnaround estimate. This page describes each in the detail you need to decide whether it suits your situation.
Back to HomeOur Methodology
How every piece of work is handled
Each watch that comes to Gearhaus goes through the same intake process regardless of which service was requested. The watch is logged by serial number and owner, inspected under magnification, and timed on the machine to establish a baseline. Any observations are noted and shared with the owner before work begins.
Work proceeds only after the scope is agreed. Unexpected findings are communicated immediately, and no additional work is done without a clear go-ahead. At completion, a second timing check confirms the outcome, and the watch is returned with whatever documentation the service includes.

Service 01
Cleaning & Lubrication Tune-Up
฿4,000 · Returns within two days
An external clean with a focused lubrication of accessible points to keep a sound movement running smoothly between full services. Aimed at owners maintaining a watch that is already in fair order. Includes inspection notes and a timing read.
This is not a full strip-down service. It addresses the movement's lubrication at points that can be reached without a complete disassembly, which is appropriate for a watch running within reasonable tolerance that simply benefits from regular upkeep. If the inspection suggests a deeper service is needed, that assessment is provided in writing — but no additional work proceeds without your agreement.
What is included:
- External case and bracelet clean
- Lubrication of accessible movement points
- Timing machine read — before and after
- Written inspection note
- Return within two working days
Best suited for:
Owners of watches running within a few seconds per day that want to keep things in order with a light periodic service, without the cost or turnaround of a full movement strip.
Service 02
Water-Resistance Reseal & Pressure Check
฿11,000 · 1–2 weeks turnaround
Replacement of all seals followed by a staged pressure check to confirm the case holds to its stated rating. Aimed at owners of diver or sport pieces who want confidence before returning the watch to active use. Includes gasket renewal at crown, case-back, and pushers, plus a documented result.
Gaskets degrade over time regardless of use. Even a watch stored in a drawer will have gaskets that harden and lose elasticity. The pressure test that follows the reseal is the definitive check — not an assumption based on visible seal condition. The result sheet you receive notes the depth tested and the outcome, and is worth keeping alongside the watch.
What is included:
- Crown gasket replacement
- Case-back gasket replacement
- Pusher gasket renewal (where present)
- Staged dry pressure test to stated rating
- Documented test result sheet
- Return within one to two working weeks
Best suited for:
Owners of diver, sport, or professional-grade watches with a water-resistance rating, particularly before returning the piece to active water use or before a dive trip.
Service 03
Heirloom Rebuild & Documentation
฿33,000 · 8–12 weeks turnaround
A careful rebuild of a family heirloom with full written and photographic documentation of every step, so the work and the watch's story stay together. Aimed at owners preserving a piece for the next generation. Includes movement service, considered cosmetic work, archival notes, and a presentation folder.
This is the most comprehensive service Gearhaus offers, and deliberately the one with the longest turnaround. The movement is fully stripped, cleaned, inspected, reassembled with appropriate lubricants and replacement parts where needed, and regulated to run accurately. Cosmetic decisions — what to restore, what to leave — are discussed with you before any work affecting the watch's appearance is done.
What is included:
- Full movement strip, clean, and inspection
- Parts replacement where required (discussed with owner)
- Regulation and timing verification
- Considered cosmetic work (agreed in advance)
- Photographic record at each service stage
- Written archival notes on condition and work performed
- Presentation folder housing all documentation
Best suited for:
Family watches intended for a long future — inherited pieces, watches marking significant occasions, or any mechanical timepiece meant to be passed to the next generation in known, documented condition.

Workshop Standards
Protocols followed across all three services
Secure storage throughout
Every watch in care is locked away when not on the bench, logged by serial number, and tracked from intake to collection.
Prior written agreement on scope
Work beyond the agreed scope requires written confirmation from the owner before it proceeds. No surprises on collection.
Timing verification at intake and completion
All movements go through the timing machine at the start and end of a service to give a clear before-and-after record.
Client information discretely handled
Contact details are used only for the purpose of the current service and retained no longer than needed. No client data is shared with third parties.
Calibrated equipment maintained to standard
Timing machines and pressure testing equipment are calibrated and serviced on schedule. Results are only as reliable as the tools producing them.
Honest turnaround times
Quoted times are based on what the work realistically takes. If something changes the estimate, the owner is told promptly rather than kept waiting without explanation.
